Refunding a Single Item From a Customer's Order
Chipply makes it easy to refund a single item on a customer order. This is great to know in case you ever have to cancel an item due to a backorder or if the product is no longer available.
To Refund a Single Item on a Customer's Order:
1) Find the order through Order Manager using the filters/search fields. Once inside of the order, find the product that needs to be refunded & click the Trash Can Button.
2) Once the product is deleted from the order, you will see a Negative Net Order Difference.
3) When you see the negative Net Order Difference in red you can click the REFUND button and it will refund that amount to the customer's credit card.
If the refund can't go back to the customer's card for some reason (closed account, etc), Chipply will ask for a new credit card number to refund the amount to.
If at any time you want to cancel what you're doing before the refund is processed, you can click the RESET button and it will reset the order back to its original state.
