Adding a Custom Product

How to Add a Custom Product

 

There may be times you want to add a custom sublimated tee shirt, Jersey, or promotional product to your store. Follow the steps below to learn how.

*If you are trying to add a "standard" product but can't find it within the Chipply Database please reach out to Chipply at teamchipply@chipply.biz to have it added instead of creating a custom product. This will allow you (and others) to add this product in the future.*

 

1) Go to the Products page on the left-hand menu

 

2) Select 

 

a. When directed to the Manage Products page begin entering product information. See Below:
 

Left Side Section 

Check all applicable options:  Active, Required, Hide ALL Process Options for this product on the Ecom Site, Hide Vendor, Hide Sku

Vendor (required)

SKU (required)

Product Name (required)

Minimum & Maximum Qty Limit (optional) (these fields can be utilized if you want limit the quantity that can be ordered – ex: if a team is providing 2 pair of socks with their uniform, you could set the minimum and maximum to 2.)

Product Cost (optional)

MSRP (optional)

Product Price (required) enter the blank product price *If including the cost of decoration in the entire price, then you can put the full price of the product in here*

Process Price (not editable)  this field will automatically populate with the price from the process once you’ve assigned the product to a process.

Combined Price (not editable)  this field will automatically calculate the combination of the Product Price + Process Price

Fundraising (optional) Enter fundraising $ or %, if applicable


Right Side Section 

Categories If the store has categories, from the drop down menu check the appropriate categories for this product (this can also be done from the Product Spreadsheet after the product is created)

Description (optional)  Enter product long description.  

 

 

Short Description (Shown below the product images) (optional) Text entered here will appear below the production information on the econ page. Example: Showing an original price of an item to emphasize the deal or any other information the customer needs to know at a glance.
 

Size Chart (optional) Enter size chart url, image, or information

Shipping Instructions (optional) Enter special shipping details for this product if applicable.

 

Lower Section – PRODUCT SIZES & COLORS

Regardless if the product has standard sizes or colors, both of these bubbles should be filled in. This will ensure the product can successfully be added to the customers cart and accurate reporting after the product is ordered. (If a product does not have a standard size you can enter something like "N/A" or "One Size" etc.)

1) Select  

1a) Select 

2) In the Quick Add New Sizes box, enter each size (one size per line) and then select 

 

 

2a) If a particular size is subject to an additional charge, select EDIT and enter the amount in the Additional Cost field and SAVE.

 

 

3) In the upper right select 

 

4) Select 

 

5) Select 

 

6) In the Quick Add New Colors box, enter each color (one color per line) and then select .

 

 

7) To add images to the color, select . Here you will be able to upload up to 4 different product images. We suggest "Image 1" be the front of the product, "Image 2" be the back of the product, and "Image 3"/"Image 4" be the side of the product.

 

 

8) After all images have been uploaded select 

 

8a) Continue to add images for each color option.  When done adding images select 

 

9) Select the colors and sizes to be offered on the store in the Product Sizes & Colors Grid

 

 

10) At the top of the page select 

 

11) Lastly make sure that the Custom Product is attached to a Custom Process or a Desired Process

 

a. If this is a blank/stock item, it can be assigned to Blank Items
