Distribution Methods Explained
You have the ability to communicate and offer to the end customer how/where they are going to be receiving their order and ultimately how the customer should be taxed.
Selecting "Distribute to [organization name]" will give you 3 options to communicate how the orders will get to the Organization Representative/end customer.
Organization Pickup
This option means the organization representative will come into your shop and pick up all the orders then go back to the group and distribute the orders.
Deliver to Organization
This option means you will deliver the orders to the organization yourself. You will have to select the and then input the address you plan to deliver to. If the customer selects this option at checkout, this is the address they will be taxed on.
Ship to Organization
This option means you will ship all the orders to the organization for them to distribute. You will have to select the and then input the address you plan to ship to. If the customer selects this option at checkout, this is the address they will be taxed on.
Single Pickup Location
This option should be selected if the end customer is going to be picking up their order from one location. If the customer is picking their order up from the same location as the organization's address then no additional address needs to be inputted.
If the end customer will be picking their order up from a separate location from the organization's address then you will want to input the address of the specific location by selecting so the customer can be taxed appropriately. The customer will then be taxed on that location vs. the organization's location.
If the name of the organization/organization's branch is not clear enough for the customer to understand where they will be picking up from, you can enter in a specific phrase communicating to the customer exactly where they should pick their order up from by typing that into the Ex. "Pickup From Coach After Practice" Otherwise, the customer will see "Pickup from [organization's name]" at checkout.
Multiple Pickup Locations
If the organization wants to give the customer multiple pickup locations then should be selected. This could be used in corporate situations where the customer needs to select the branch they are going to be receiving their at or if there are multiple schools the customer can pick their order up from. This allows you to input the specific address the customer will be picking up from and subsequently taxing the customer on the selected location at checkout.
Select the for each address/pickup location that needs to be offered to the customer.
Customer In-Store Pickup
This option is for customers who want to come into your store, give you their name/order number, and you retrieve their order and then they go home. If this option is selected, the customer will be taxed based on your dealer branch address. If you have multiple branches, you must select at least 1 branch option for the customer to select pickup from.
Customer In-Store Pickup
This option should be selected if you plan to ship directly to the customer. After this option is selected you will be prompted to selected your preferred shipping method/rate. (Currently only one option can be selected at a time.)
