Sort Your Packing Slips by Additional Options
Everyone is scrambling to get those holiday orders to their customers. Here is a quick tip that could save you some time when packing orders!
When generating Packing Slips within a store, Chipply automatically defaults to sorting them by Distribution Method, Roster Selection, & Billing Name. Chipply also gives you the ability to add Order #, Order Date, Shipping Name, & Recipient as additional options to sort by. You can create any combination of options to sort by that will best fit how you want your Packing Slips to print!
How to change your Sort By options:
1) Any of the current Sort By options will be listed horizontally and will be sorted by the options from left to right. This is defaulted to Distribution, Selection, & Billing Name (Selection is only available if the store had a roster). These options need to be removed if you want to sort by different options
2) Click the X for each of the current options. They will appear in the list below
3) Once the previous options are cleared, select the options you would like to sort by, by simply clicking the word. They will appear above
4) Once you have the Sort By order you desire, generate your Packing Slips.
The ability to sort your Packing Slips by different options can be helpful in many different scenarios. For instance, schools may want classroom orders in order of Recipient last name instead of Billing last name
Another great use for this is for our ShipStation integration. ShipStation labels print by Order Number. So when sorting an order that is being shipped, print your Packing Slips by Order Number first. This will ensure that all of the orders will be packed in the same order as labels
