Refunding Taxes, Shipping, & Handling on an Order
Chipply makes it easy for you to refund different components of an order inside of Order Manager. To change an order, either go to Order Manager at the top of your dashboard or within a store and click Select on an order!
How to Refund Taxes:
1) Click the pencil button next to Sales Tax
2) Click Change Product Tax Type
3) You can then update the Tax Type, Shipping Tax Type, & Handling Tax Type and then click ACCEPT.
4) You should then see a net order difference in red of the amount that the Tax was on the order. If you see this, you can click the REFUND button at the top right of your screen.
How to Refund Shipping:
1) Click the pencil button next to Shipping
2) Update the Shipping Amount to $0.00. If you still plan on shipping the order directly to the customer, you can leave the Shipping Type as is. OR, if the customer will be changing to receiving their order from the group or picking up in-store, you can select a new Shipping Type. Once the price is updated and the desired Shipping Type is selected, click ACCEPT.
3) You should then see a net order difference in red of the amount that the Shipping was on the order. If you see this, you can click the REFUND button at the top right of your screen.
How to Refund Handling:
1) Click the pencil button next to Handling
2) Update the Price of the Handling Fee and click ACCEPT
3) You should then see a net order difference in red of the amount that the Handling Fee was on the order. If you see this, you can click the REFUND button at the top right of your screen.
